Jose M. Arbones-Mainar is the current head of the AdipoFat group in the Translational Research Unit at the Aragon Health Sciences Institute (Zaragoza, Spain).

• Marie Curie fellow funded by the European Commission.

I investigate the molecular mechanisms involved in controlling energy expenditure, fat deposition, and the mechanisms affecting the partition of energy towards oxidation or storage. The long-term goal of my research is to develop a better understanding of the mechanisms contributing to obesity and its pathophysiological consequences, particularly Type II diabetes and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD).
